Marvel Rivals has thrilled millions with its fast-paced superhero battles since its debut, but there is a rising shadow over the game: cheaters. Aimbots and wallhacks have invaded both PC and console lobbies, enraging players and damaging the game’s competitiveness. High-profile streamers have labeled the game “unplayable” at the highest levels, noting widespread aimbot usage that snaps to targets with unnatural accuracy.

NetEase has responded forcefully, deploying anti-cheat mechanisms that end matches if hackers are detected and issuing bans that can last up to 100 years. However, cheaters continue to use vulnerabilities like as third-party plugins and console-to-PC video stream hacks to circumvent anti-cheat systems.

During this commotion, console players discovered a controversial solution known as a “legal aimbot.” Players can improve their aiming precision by adjusting in-game parameters like aim assist box size, strength, and removing aim assist at max deadzone. This strategy, which has been extensively shared on platforms such as Reddit, makes use of the game’s intrinsic mechanics to achieve aimbot-like accuracy without the use of extra software. Here’s how it works.

These Marvel Rivals console settings give amazing aimbot capabilities to players

Marvel Rivals players like Klw3ll on Reddit shared their settings that they call “Legal Aimbot for Console Players.” These are merely settings that players can change in the settings menu with a controller that helps them instantly improve their aiming and gameplay skills.

According to the user, “Aim Assist Box Size ~ 20, Strength ~ 90, Ease In 0. Separately, activate ‘Disable Aim Assist at Max Deadzone’, then ramp up ‘Horizontal Max Deadzone Boost’ for easier 180s, which also allows you to lower your sensitivity for easier aiming overall.”

While this may be perceived as a literal Aimbot exploit, the user cleared it out that it isn’t an exploit, but but rather a way to set the “tools available to work for you instead of against you.” Furthermore, the user also advised, “If you’re better at tracking over flicking, a bigger ‘Assist Box’ and turning up Ease In a bit might be more effective for you instead, as I excel at flicking.”

Players who used this technique traced it back to a YouTube video released during Marvel Rivals Season 1 and employed a similar method to get better console aim. However, users who recently used it reported the method still works and gives them “razor sharp” aim with precision that helps them skip the learning curve of playing Rivals on a controller.
