PS5 Exclusive Lost Soul Aside Delayed for the Billionth Time

PS5 console exclusive Lost Soul Aside has been delayed yet again. The game’s release date has been pushed more times than we can count on our fingers at this point. But the good news is that this time, the release has only been delayed by three months.

Lost Soul Aside has been in development for a decade

Ultizero Games has announced that Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025 rather than May 30. The developer said that it needs more time to polish the game.

“We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience,” the statement reads. “To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game.”

Lost Soul Aside started off as a solo fan project inspired by Final Fantasy. Videos of the project caught everyone’s attention, including Sony‘s, who decided to fund the game’s development under its China Hero Project program.

And thus began a decade-long development journey that still hasn’t come to an end. Lost Soul Aside started production as a PS4 exclusive, which it ultimately dropped in favor of a PS5 release. The game has added PC to its list of platforms since then, but remains a PlayStation console exclusive.
