Intel’s High-End Battlemage Arc B770 GPU Could Be Unveiled As Soon As Computex 2025, Could Compete With NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Series

Intel isn’t done with the Battlemage lineup yet, as the firm has plans to release one more variant, which could set a new tone for the mainstream GPU market.

Intel’s Arc B770 Desktop GPU Has Been Rumored to Already Enter Production, Retail Release Could Occur By Next Quarter

Intel’s momentum of releasing desktop GPUs isn’t as high as that of competitors like AMD and NVIDIA, but the firm is still committed to the segment. Back in Q4 2024, Intel released its mid-tier Battlemage SKUs, notably the Arc B570 and the Arc B580, which were seen as decent options considering the competition at that time. Now with AMD’s RX 9060 series and NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 series on the way, Intel has no counterparts to it for now, but this could change, as according to the Japanese media outlet Gazlog, Intel is preparing a new Battlemage variant around the “BMG-G31” silicon, likely the Arc Battlemage B770.

This information was revealed in shipping manifests a few weeks ago, where the BMG-G31 silicon die surfaced. It was being shipped to an Intel facility in Vietnam, where the Arc B770 is likely being prepared. Intel Vietnam is responsible for producing the Limited Edition variant of the firm’s GPUs, so we’ll probably see the next Battlemage GPU pretty soon. As to why we think it will be the Arc B770, well, the BMG-G31 is intended for higher-end modes, and since Intel’s B5XX is likely complete for now, it only makes sense to release the next iteration.

X post by OneRaichu, discussing Intel processes as well as Arc B770 GPU.

Moreover, the confirmation of the Arc B770 being on its way has been done by the famous leaker OneRaichu, who claimed that we’ll see the model emerging in the future, so overall, there’s optimism around the Battlemage lineup. As to what we can expect from it, it was said that a variant on this die would feature around 24-32 Xe2 cores with a 256-bit memory bus and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, however, the silicon could also be featured in AI/professional GPUs too, so nothing is certain for now.

We expect an announcement at Computex 2025, which will start in a few weeks. As always, we’ll be covering the event live from the showfloor. Intel could surprise us with a new Battlemage dGPU, but we’ll have to wait and see how Team Blue decides to pan out its strategy.
