GTA 6’s New PS5 Trailer Attracted Almost Half a Billion Views in One Day
Update []: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest GTA 6 trailer – captured entirely on a standard PS5 console – was watched 475 million times across all platforms within 24 hours. That includes YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, et al.
The company confirmed the number to the publication, demonstrating the sheer reach of the release. To put things into perspective, this exceeds the 365 million views Deadpool & Wolverine’s debut trailer attracted during the same timeframe.
In loosely related news, the song from the trailer, Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters, saw its streams on Spotify explode by 182,000%.
“Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else,” said Spotify’s Sulinna Ong.
“Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way.”

This, of course, excludes mirrors on various other channels, like PlayStation’s version which has added over 300k views to the total. The IGN upload has over two million views, too.
The first trailer, which launched over a year ago, has amassed 254 million views thus far, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see this second teaser attract a similar number once all’s said and done.
