Plug in the adapter

Installation is simple! With your vehicle turned off, simply unplug the power source from your rearview mirror and replace it with the Dongar Dash Cam Power Adapter. To do this you can depress the plastic push tabs on the connector and unplug it from the mirror.

Dual power design

Once your adapter is connected to your mirror, plug both your Dash Cam and original power source into the adapter. Our dual power design provides power to both your dash cam and your mirror.

COMPATIBLE DASH CAMS: This Dongar dash cam adapter is compatible with USB-powered dash cams including: Garmin Mini 2, Garmin Live, Garmin 47, Garmin 57, Garmin 67W, Vantrue N2 Pro, Vantrue N4, Vantrue N5, Fitcam, Viofo, 70Mai, and all other USB-powered dash cams.
COMPATIBLE ACCESSORIES: This Dongar rearview mirror adapter is also compatible with other USB-powered devices including radar detectors and GPS.
OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE: This dash cam adapter is recommended for USB-powered devices drawing less than 2A at 5V to ensure efficient heat management. If you’re using a USB-C powered device, please ensure compatibility by checking the voltage specifications beforehand.
COMPATIBILITY LIMITATIONS: Please note that this adapter is not compatible with the Hyundai Ioniq 5. This adapter is not compatible with digital mirrors or with devices requiring 12V or those powered by a barrel jack or RJ11 connector.

AUTO-DIMMING REQUIREMENT: This Dongar dash cam adapter requires an auto-dimming or powered rearview mirror (such as a mirror with garage buttons) to function. This dash cam adapter is NOT compatible with digital mirrors.
IGNITION-ACTIVATED POWER: This adapter powers your dash cam or other USB-powered device when your vehicle’s ignition is ON – it is not intended for parking mode or other constant power applications. By turning on only when your vehicle is on, it eliminates any danger of draining your car’s battery.
COMPLETE KIT: The Dongar Technologies kit includes one (1) dash cam power adapter, along with three (3) shorty USB cables (USB-C, Mini USB, Micro USB) for use with USB-powered devices. Additionally, a plastic pry tool is provided to assist with installation.
