The Best Skills for Monoco in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Monoco’s the kind of character you want leading the charge in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Not because he’s loud or flashy, but because he moves fast and sets things up. Most of his weapons scales with Agility, which means he naturally acts early in a fight. And that’s a big deal because getting the first move gives you room to breathe and plan. You can throw out a buff, land a quick hit or even tilt the odds before your enemies get a chance to act.

10 Best Skills for Lune in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Here are the most reliable skills for Lune, whether you’re leaning into her healing role, or using her for attack or defense.
Some of Monoco’s skills help him boost allies, others tear down enemies before they get a chance to react. A few of his skills may surprise you with solid damage, but most shine when used with a plan in mind.

Stalact Punches
Land Four Ice-Based Hits in a Row
Monoco’s Stalact Punches is the kind of move you pull off when you want to mess up the life of just one target in a clean, ice-cold way. It lands four hits in a row and each hit stacks up Break damage fast, so if you’re trying to push an enemy into that vulnerable broken state, this skill can get the job done quickly.
This skill works best when you’ve scouted out enemies that are weak to Ice. If the target isn’t resistant, those four hits will chunk their health and pile up that Break gauge.
7
Sakapatate Fire
Firestorm That Consumes Every Enemy
Sakapatate Fire is Monoco’s all-out firestorm move. It eats up 9 AP, so it’s not something you toss around lightly. Sakapatate Fire hits every enemy on the field three times and each strike also stacks Burn. The burn effect makes it worthwhile in longer fights or when enemies don’t go down in one round.

8 Best Weapons for Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Some of Maelle’s best weapons are built around stances, others feed into her Break potential and a few just give her the breathing room to act freely.
Sakapatate Fire is especially nasty against targets that don’t resist Fire. Even if they survive the initial burst, they’re basically cooking over the next few turns. You’ll want to use Sakapatate Fire when you’re dealing with a group and have the AP to spare. It’s not a good opener because it’s too expensive.
6
Ramasseur Bonk
Delivers Dark Damage to One Enemy
When you use Ramasseur Bonk, you hit an enemy once with Dark-element damage. And if Monoco is under the Agile Mask, the move instantly fills a portion of the enemy’s Break Bar. And you know once Break Bar is filled, enemies enter a vulnerable state where they take more damage and can’t act.
So being able to jump that bar by 20% with a single move is a big deal. You use Ramasseur Bonk when you need to make real progress toward a Break without blowing all your AP on bigger skills.
5
Clair Enfeeble
Deal Light Damage to All Enemies and Render Them Powerless
When you use Clair Enfeeble, every enemy on the field takes a hit of Light-element damage. But the real reason you should use Clair Enfeeble is for the debuff it applies. Everyone hit by it gets Powerless for three turns.

Review: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG that pushes the technical aspect of modern hardware to its limits.
This is especially useful when you’re dealing with multiple enemies who love spamming physical or elemental attacks. You’re not wiping them out immediately, but you are making them less dangerous while you get your footing.
4
Abberration Light
Delivers Two Light Damage Hits to Every Enemy
With Abberration Light, Monoco sends out two waves of Light-element damage, hitting all enemies back-to-back. And each strike also ignites them with Burn, giving you four stacks per hit. If Monoco is under the Agile Mask when he uses it, each hit drops six stacks instead of four. That’s a lot of ticking damage that’ll keep piling up while you move on to other threats.
This skill works best when you’re dealing with multiple enemies at once and want to start stacking pressure across the board. If you’ve got a turn where you don’t need to heal or focus a single target, Abberration Light is a quiet, efficient way of softening everything and setting up for a much cleaner next round.
3
Chevaliere Thrusts
Land Three Hits to Every Enemy
When Monoco uses the Chevaliere Thrusts, he lunges at every enemy on the battlefield, hitting each one three times in a row. And each enemy gets tagged with a full combo, which is important because the damage stacks fast when you’re dealing with groups.

10 Best Pictos for Offense in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Looking to hit harder in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? Here are offensive pictos that actually make a difference when you’re on the attack.
The thing to keep in mind is that each of those three hits can crit individually. This means one lucky burst can melt a low-defense enemy before they even get to respond. And if you’re running Monoco with the Heavy Mask, those hits punch even harder.
2
Benisseur Mortar
Three Ice-Cold Hits on One Enemy
Benisseur Mortar is a direct, no-nonsense strike that hammers a single enemy with three hits of Ice-element damage. The fact that it hits three times matters more than you’d think, especially against enemies with defenses that reset or lessen after each hit, keeps the pressure up.
If the enemy you’re hitting is marked, Monoco shifts into the Almighty Mask automatically. Benisseur Mortar is great when you’re going for a clean mask swap mid-combat or when you want to hit one enemy hard without spending too much setup time.
1
Pelerin Heal
Gradually Restores the Health of Your Party Members Over Several Turns
When it comes to Pelerin Heal, your weaponscan rest for a bit because you will be doing more healing than fighting. The skill doesn’t just patch up a single party member, it gives the whole squad Regen. This means they’ll slowly recover HP at the end of each turn. If Monoco’s wearing the Caster Mask when he uses Pelerin Heal, it also drops an immediate 40% heal on everyone.
What I like most about Pelerin Heal is that it doesn’t rely on any status debuffs or fancy conditions. You activate it, you get value. If you’ve got the Caster Mask on, the payoff’s even better. Just make sure you’re not wasting it when your team is already topped off.
