eBay Australia is flogging the Nintendo Switch 2 for AU$660 – that’s a AU$40 saving just a week after launch

I’ll be honest: A week after the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, I expected stock to be scarce. I expected the usual eBay flippers to be selling hoarded units for well above RRP. The opposite is actually true, though: Less than a week after launch, the Nintendo Switch 2 is not only easy to get, but it’s getting discounted.
Case in point: EB Games eBay store is currently selling the Nintendo Switch 2 for AU$659.90, which is a AU$40.10 saving. To get that price, you’ll need to use the coupon code SSNOW at checkout. Shipping is included, so AU$659.90 is the final price.
In our newly published Nintendo Switch 2 review, we note that this new iteration is “a tangible upgrade, with impressive performance, a streamlined design, and surprisingly adept additional features”. Most importantly, it’s the only place to play Mario Kart World at the moment.
Relatedly, if you’re after a Nintendo Switch 2 to play Mario Kart World, there’s a bundle for AU$766 at Officeworks. That would end up cheaper by around a dollar than buying the Switch 2 at its current discount and the game separately, from say, Amazon. But if you don’t want Mario Kart World, this price is the best we’ve seen on the standalone console.
Speaking of games, I’m keeping abreast of all the Nintendo Switch 2 game deals in Australia as well.
