Viral Sensation Supermarket Simulator Is Coming to PS5 Following 1.0 Launch on PC

We’ve not been able to cover the rise of indie smash hit Supermarket Simulator, as it’s currently only available on PC, but that’s set to change now it’s finally reached its 1.0 launch.
In a press release, developer Nokta Games has announced that its super-popular retail simulation game is coming to consoles “later this year”.
For the uninitiated, Supermarket Simulator is exactly what it sounds like. Played in first-person, you start up your very own grocery store, beginning in a tiny space with only a few items to stock, but over time you upgrade and grow in numerous ways.
As you make money, you can hire staff, expand the shop, obtain licenses to sell a wider range of products, and so on. Eventually you’ll have a thriving supermarket that almost runs itself — though you’ll need to keep on top of fluctuating market prices, stock levels, shoplifters, and more.
On top of running the shop itself, you can also make deliveries to people living nearby and acquire stock from other local vendors.
With over 65,000 Steam reviews resulting in a Very Positive rating, it seems this will be one to keep an eye on when it does make the jump to PS5. And, by the looks of it, multiplayer is coming down the line too, which is pretty exciting.
