NVIDIA Rumored To Launch GeForce RTX 5050 Earlier In China Than Other Parts Of The World

The Chinese PC market could see the GeForce RTX 5050 sooner than the rest of the world, as was seen on the NVIDIA China website.

GeForce RTX 5050 Rumored to Launch in China on 1st July as Indicated by NVIDIA’s Official Website in China

If you have been following the reports on the GeForce RTX 5050 before the official unveil, you might have come through our post where we reported that NVIDIA was pushing its board partners to launch the GeForce RTX 5050 on 1st July. A day later, the GPU was revealed, but the official retail launch was apparently unchanged and the GPU launches on the second of July.

However, this might not be true in the case of China as the NVIDIA Chinese version website doesn’t say this. If you take a look at the official NVIDIA website, i.e., NVIDIA.com, you will see that the company has explicitly stated that the RTX 5050 is “Coming second-half of July”, but the NVIDIA.cn just says “It will be available in July” if you translate it from the Chinese text.

This translation is apparently correct as reported by Benchlife and this indicates that the GPU might be available sooner in China than in other parts of the world. Benchlife says that it is launching on 1st July and this is also supported by NVIDIA’s press release, which says that the GPU driver for the card will be available in “early” July.

Check back in early July for our next GeForce Game Ready Driver, which includes support for all GeForce RTX 5050 GPUs – desktop and laptop.

Still, take this with a grain of salt as it isn’t yet confirmed by NVIDIA. It’s our speculation that it may launch the card earlier in China than in the rest of the world and, if that’s how it goes, then we will have the benchmark numbers earlier. This way, consumers can decide whether they should go for the GPU or settle for the faster ones.

We have already seen early benchmark leaks of the card, where the GeForce RTX 5050 is seen offering lackluster performance. While we expect it to deliver 60-class performance from the previous generation, it might come out to be noticeably slower, as we saw recently.
