NetEase just released the latest patch notes for Marvel Rivals. The hero shooter will receive a new update on Thursday, July 3, which will likely be the last update of Season 2.5. The game developer revealed all the details about the update, including two fantastic skins that will come with it.
As this is the last update of Season 2.5, NetEase probably won’t release any ground-breaking changes over the next 10 days. With Marvel Rivals Season 3 coming out on July 11, there is no need for the meta shift, as major changes will almost certainly arrive next week.
Latest Marvel Rivals patch notes conclude Season 2.5
Captain America and Spider-Man mains will get new costumes for their characters this week. The Vanguard will receive a Captain Klyntar costume, which will be based on the theme of the next season. On the other hand, Spider-Man will get a Future Foundation outfit.
Both of these costumes will be available on July 3, 7 PM Pacific Daylight Time. In other words, they will be released approximately 15 hours after the update comes out, as they won’t be available right away.
Besides the skins, NetEase will fix the following problems with the upcoming Marvel Rivals update:
- Resolved an issue where returning from a player’s Career page via the Leaderboard would sometimes redirect you back to the Leaderboard homepage.
- Resolved an issue where high latency could cause Thor’s Thorforce to behave erratically, causing his abilities to be canceled and leaving the God of Thunder feeling less than worthy. Now, when Thor strikes with Mjolnir, his power won’t get lost in the clouds.
- Squashed a bug that caused defeating illusions created by Magneto’s Magnetic Resonance and Psylocke’s Psychic Echoes to improperly trigger effects that occur when landing a final hit or assisting in a KO, such as Loki’s Laufeyson Reborn, Thor’s Odinson Reborn, etc. Now, only defeating true heroes can trigger these effects.
This will most likely be the last update of Season 2.5. The new season drops on Friday, July 11, and will bring lots of new content, including Blade and Phoenix as new heroes. Furthermore, NetEase revealed all the buffs and nerfs coming with Season 3.
