PlayStation Studio’s AAA PS6 Game Has a ‘Heavy Focus’ on Story

New information has surfaced about an unannounced PlayStation Studio PS6 game, which we began hearing about roughly a year ago. Firesprite, which was hit by layoffs and project cancellations, is working on a AAA game that sounds pretty ambitious from what we’ve gathered so far.

PlayStation Studio Firesprite’s next game is apparently targeting PS6

Firesprite has all but confirmed that its AAA project is a PS6 game. Over the past year, the studio posted a number of job advertisements, nearly all of which emphasize on “next-generation hardware technologies.”

At this point in the PS5’s life cycle, we’re positive that they’re referring to the PS6. Besides, it doesn’t look like the game is going to be out within the next couple of years, which makes it highly likely that it’ll be a PS5/PS6 cross-gen game, if not a PS6 exclusive.

As far as new information is concerned, hawk-eyed players have spotted a new job opening at Firesprite in which the studio boasts that its “ambitious, AAA project” will have “a heavy focus on atmosphere, storytelling, player agency and immersion into ground-breaking territory on next-generation hardware technologies.”

To recap all the Firesprite “leaks” thus far, the studio seems to be working on a dark, horror game of sorts that’s targeting 4K and 60 FPS. Rumor has it that the studio is working on Until Dawn 2, but there have also been speculations of a new Siren game.
