Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (June 2025)

June marked what was probably the quietest month of the year so far in terms of new releases. Outside of the obvious event that was Death Stranding 2, big budget titles were basically nonexistent.

But to say that June lacked quality would be doing it a disservice. Rematch, for example — the addictive arcade-y soccer sim from Sifu developer SloClap — ended up being a revelation. An instance of a great concept executed upon with charm and confidence, Rematch has proven to be a very popular multiplayer title, and a breakout hit of 2025.

Meanwhile, Raidou Remastered brought back an oft-forgotten PS2 RPG from Atlus. Enhanced, expanded, and reworked, this is a deserved second chance for what many consider to be a cult classic.

The Alters and Date Everything are worthy of note, too. Both games boast intriguing narrative hooks and gameplay gimmicks; The Alters being a crazy clone-based survival management sim, and Date Everything offering up a truly unique take on romantic visual novels.

But just going back to Death Stranding 2, we’re looking at what will inevitably be a Game of the Year candidate. There’s no question that Kojima Production’s sequel is going to be the one to beat in this Game of the Month poll.
