Deep Rock Galactic Survivor leaves Early Access in September

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor has been one of my most played games on Steam Deck over the past year, even in its early access state. Now, the extremely fun spin-off is nearing its full release.

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor is heading towards V1.0, which will also mark the end of its time in Early Access. The Survivor team is preparing a whole new gear system for the 1.0 launch, which will provide a lot more variety to your builds with each run. With the release version, gear will be divided up into six types – armour, mods, canisters, gadgets, tools and chips.

Armour will give you more health and damage resistance, mods will alter your guns to do various types of damage, canisters alter explosion potency and radius, gadgets improve your mining skills, tools improve your weapon reload speed and range, and chips will make changes to drones.

This isn’t the only major change coming with V1.0, but we’ll hear more about other additions in the weeks leading up to launch. Deep Rock Galactic Survivor is launching on September 17th.
