You Might Need Roblox to Play Some Future Like a Dragon Games

Roblox could be the place you play the next Like a Dragon spin-off, if a new initiative SEGA is involved in takes off. The problematic kids’ game platform has revealed a new License Manager tool that’ll let companies accept fan submissions to make official Roblox games based on their IP, and SEGA is one of the firms on board.
From anyone who has made an unofficial Like a Dragon game in Roblox that’s averaging more than 1,000 active daily users, SEGA will consider their submission to make an official Roblox experience and split the revenue equally between the two parties. SEGA even goes one step further by asking creators to make their Roblox games “true to the series’ lore”, reports Game File.
While the core entries will obviously still be handled by SEGA, this initiative opens the door for creators to create smaller spin-off titles with the publisher’s backing. What about a Dress to Impress with Majima as the lead, or Grow a Garden for Kiryu?
Anything made in Roblox would tie into the ongoing issues surrounding developer creations in the game, which were documented by People Make Games a few years ago.
