Acclaimed PS4 Shooter Just $1.99 on PS Store for a Limited Time
An acclaimed action shooter that’s being turned into a movie is just $1.99 on the PS4 (playable on PS5) in a limited-time PS Store deal. Developed by Reikon Games and published by Devolver Digital, 2017’s Ruiner is heavily discounted as part of the massive PS Store Summer Sale.

Ruiner is billed as a “brutal” cyberpunk shooter that’s set in the city of Rengkok in year 2091. Players are tasked with fighting strong foes and saving their brother who has been kidnapped. The city is run by a powerful conglomerate called Heaven.
“Violent confrontation is a means to an end and trust is a devalued currency in Rengkok as you navigate a senseless world and dismantle the corporate titans of virtuality dealers at Heaven,” a synopsis reads. “A wired sociopath lashes out against a corrupt system to retrieve his kidnapped brother and uncover the truth under the guidance of a secretive Hacker friend.”
The main story takes roughly seven hours to beat.
Ruiner released to positive reviews. In our own review, PlayStation LifeStyle’s Tyler Treese noted that even the game’s violence entertains, complete with some memorable kills.
Ruiner’s PS Store deal will end on July 31.
