Cerebral psychological horror s.p.l.i.t from the dev of Buckshot Roulette is out now

Costing less than £3, here’s your chance at some cheap thrills with the release of s.p.l.i.t from Buckshot Roulette developer Mike Klubnika. It’s properly weird in the best kind of way and it won’t take you long to complete either, good for a single run one evening.

What you get is an intense 90-minute or so psychological-horror-hacker game. s.p.l.i.t, plunges you into the dark, sickly world of cybercrime, as you attempt to gain access to an unethical superstructure, and once in – execute a devastating malware attack. One I’m sure plenty of Linux fans will appreciate with the keyboard-driven raw command-line interactions, wrapped up in Klubnika’s trademark dystopian, low-fi audiovisual stylings.

Feature Highlight:

  • First person gameplay with diegetic & immersive UI.
  • An IRC chat where you gain intel, and learn more about the facility.
  • A terminal where you run software, navigate directories, and execute commands.
  • Detailed command prompt hacking puzzles with an emphasis on traditional inputs.
  • Original soundtrack.

It has Native Linux support just like their previous game.

s.p.l.i.t | Release Date: 24th July 2025
