Critical Role, The Magic Order 5, The Bad Batch, and more! — GamingTrend Comics

We’re back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com! We have three comics from Dark Horse Comics this week with an interview from Momocon at the end! If you’re a fan of found family, great teams, or magic; this week will be just your thing!
Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins I – Issue #2
Scanlan and Grog are back to show that they can… somewhat successfully make it through a dungeon crawl without too much trouble. This new Origins issue focuses solely on the duo as they end up stealing something they, of course, shouldn’t have stolen.
Vox Machina Origins, so far, are great bite-sized stories giving us more context to the world created in Critical Role with characters we want to see more from! Next issue is bound to be a great time with other members of Vox Machina helping solve the issue with Scanlan and Grog!

The Magic Order 5 – Issue #3
The Magic Order 5 is always throwing something new at us with now skinwalkers and ancient evil clans entering the fray. Our heroes have to work together to find a way out of this mess, but can they if they don’t even know who’s real or who’s fake?
The art has been fabulous giving us detail on so many aspects of each panel while not letting the page as a whole feel too cluttered. The story is fairly fast paced, but that seems par-the-course with a franchise like The Magic Order.

Hyperspace Stories: The Bad Batch: Ghost Agents – Issue #4
As a Star Wars fan, I’m a huge fan of Hyperspace Stories giving us short run content about different time periods while the main runs are telling post-Return of the Jedi right now. There are still stories that can be told with our Bad Batch even with the show having ended.
Hunter and Clone Force 99 face a trio of villains throughout this series already, but this does put into context the meeting Hunter and the team have with Ventress in the final season of The Bad Batch. If you’re a fan of the time period and love clone troopers, The Bad Batch has been a great series to follow.

Marvel’s Wolvering: The First 50 Years Review – Celebrating half a century of the X-Men’s angriest Canadian
While not as detailed in some regards as I would have liked, the omnibus does a good job summarizing Wolverine’s history, and will undoubtedly be enjoyed by both hardcore and casual fans.
