The High Republic writer Cavan Scott on turning his fandom into a legendary comic book lineup!

I have personally been a fan of Cavan Scott’s work for a while mostly through my love of Star Wars and Titans. I became even more of a fan during the original The High Republic panel done during the height of the global pandemic. So when an opportunity came to discuss comics with Cavan here on GamingTrend, I made sure we made it happen! Thankfully, we were able to get a Zoom call together and had a great conversation!

Cavan has worked in a lot of fandom spheres including Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, and more! During our interview we discussed everything from working on The High Republic and launching the Era of Star Wars during a global pandemic, how his work and love of British Comedy transferred to his work with the brand new Gwenpool series, and even an exclusive story about how his work and fandom collided in the best way possible.
