A Major PS5 to PS App Feature Has Gone Missing for Some
Sometime this morning, a popular PS5 / PS App feature disappeared for a large number of players while it remains in place for others. Dozens of threads have popped up on various gaming forums, with players complaining that uploading Captures from PS5 to PS App has randomly stopped working, and what’s more is that the Captures section has gone missing from the PS App.
Players hoping Sony isn’t removing feature that allows PS5 Captures to be uploaded to PS App
Reports are still coming in of PS App’s missing Captures section at the time of this writing. However, not everyone is facing the issue. I’m an Android user and the functionality works fine for me, but there are other Android users who’ve shared screenshots of the their app with the entire section missing.
The issue is also ocurring on the iOS, so it does’t seem isolated to the PS App or a particular device. Players are now worried that Sony is in the process of removing the feature.
We don’t see a reason for Sony to remove a popular feature, especially since Captures can no longer be uploaded to sites like X. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and keep our readers posted.
