Assassin’s Creed Shadows Patch 1.006 Out Now on PS5, Adds New Quest, Character Codex, More
Update []: Assassin’s Creed Shadows patch 1.006 (as it’s numbered on PS5) is now available to download on Sony’s console.
Weighing in at 4.7GB, this is classed as a major update in terms of what it actually adds to the game. Players can look forward to a new story quest and a proper character-focused codex, alongside a boatload of minor improvements and bug fixes.

Original Story: Last week, Ubisoft announced its plans for a major Assassin’s Creed Shadows update in early May — and now we’ve got the details.
Patch 1.006 is set to release tomorrow (that’s the 6th May), weighing in at around 5GB on PS5.
There are two big additions here. The first is the introduction of a new story quest featuring Portuguese man of faith Luis Frois, with the developer looking to bring more story content to the title over the coming months.
The second addition is a full character database for the codex, which has been a surprisingly common request amongst players. As you might expect, it includes details on all of the game’s main figures, which should provide some welcome context (and weight) to the title’s overarching plotlines.
The update also implements a fairly large list of bug fixes, alongside some slight adjustments to combat balance.
