ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Breaks Port Royal World Record By Achieving A Solid 47,375 Points

The Astral GeForce RTX 5090 OC was pushed to its limits with Nitrogen cooling and as a result, the card was able to yield a good 47,000+ marks, which is now the world record.
Splave Achieves 47,375 Marks in 3DMark Port Royal on the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC, Securing the Number One Rank in the World
Splave is a well-known overclocker and whether it is memory or GPU, he has achieved the best scores many times. This time it’s the GeForce RTX 5090, which he pushed to its limit, scoring a whopping 47,375 points, securing the number one position on the leaderboard. Previously, it was OGS who held the world record with his GeForce RTX 5090D with 47196 points but it could only last for a few days.

Similar to other overclockers, Splave used a nitrogen cooling setup for his ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC edition, which is a well-known premium design for those who want higher clocks out of the box. With various tweaks, Splave was able to achieve 219.33 FPS in the Port Royal test, which is the highest for the RTX 5090. The average score for the RTX 5090 on Port Royal is just over 36,000 points, which means Splave’s score of 47375 is roughly 31% higher than the average score. This 11,000 points difference is quite big even when it comes to generational uplifts and doing this with the same GB202 GPU chip is outstanding.
ASUS also celebrated the score on its social media handles, boasting about its unique design for the ASTRAL RT 5090 OC card. The GPU runs at up to 2610 MHz out of the box but with better cooling and overclocking, it can be pushed beyond 3.0 GHz. While most RTX 5090 Port Royal submission pages on the HWBot will show the actual clocks at the time of test, Splave’s page didn’t show the actual clock speeds. In the screenshot, it does show a boost clock of 3007 MHz, which is still significantly lower than other tests, where the GPU could reach nearly 3.5 GHz.

Let’s see how long can Splave retain his number one position on the leaderboard as it is quite common to see world records getting broken in just a couple of days. Meanwhile, it should be kept in mind that these overclocking and benchmarking tests are a hobby for enthusiast overclockers and isn’t something that regular gamers want to mess with.
