Atlus JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio Tags on 1 Million Sales Since Launch

Now double launch day.

Metaphor: ReFantazio sold one million units on launch day, so there’s a scattering of discussion about whether its two million sales are impressive or not. SEGA confirmed in a now-removed management meeting presentation that the highly acclaimed Atlus RPG had achieved the milestone as of 31st March, 2025.

Seeing as the game released on 11th October, 2024, that means it took a little under six months to double its launch day tally, which could be seen as a success considering it’s a new intellectual property – or a bit disappointing when you factor in the sheer amount of hype and enthusiasm around it.
