Blood Message is a new single player action adventure game from NetEase

NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment Lin’an Studio have announced a brand new linear action adventure game called Blood Message, and it is set in Ancient China. The reveal trailer is a mix of cinematic and gameplay shots, showing platforming, puzzles to solve and combat. It really gives off an Uncharted/Tomb Raider kind of vibe.
Blood Message’s description says, “Set in the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD, players take on the role of a nameless messager who embarks on a perilous eastward journey to deliver a message that holds the fate of his homeland. Alongside his son, they must survive relentless enemy sieges and a treacherous three-thousand-li odyssey, fighting against impossible odds to return to the heart of the Tang: Chang’an. Amidst the desert sands, they etch the final tale of loyalty in the Great Tang. The world has heard too many stories of emperors and generals—Blood Message is an ode to the unsung heroes.”
Blood Message’s journey will take the nameless messenger and his son 1000 miles across China including deserts and the wilderness to deliver a message that could change the fate of the country during Dunhuang’s uprising. As the Blood Message trailer shows, you will need to fight against powerful enemies and deal with natural dangers that could take you out.
“We are ushering players a new generation of high adventure with Blood Message,” said Zhipeng Hu, Lead Producer and NetEase Executive Vice President, “As our first completely single-player focused experience from NetEase Games, after two decades of deep dedication to the gaming industry, we are prepared to deliver a truly epic and cinematic experience for players around the world.”
There is currently no release date for Blood Message, but it has been confirmed for PC and consoles.
