Borderlands 4 a $70 PS5 Game, Offers $100 and $130 Versions Too

After much public deliberation, Gearbox Software has today confirmed Borderlands 4 will be a £59.99 / $69.99 game on PS5, at its launch. It will also offer an £89.99 / $99.99 Deluxe Edition and a £119.99 / $129.99 Super Deluxe Edition, both bundling in additional digital content. The three versions are available for pre-order on the PS Store now.
The game launches on 12th September 2025, and you can view the image below for a comparison of the three editions:

The more expensive versions of Borderlands 4 confirm the game will receive at least four post-launch DLC packs, adding “distinct areas, new missions, and unique bosses”. They’ll also contain “four Vault Cards with unique challenges and rewards; new gear and weapons; four new vehicles, and Vault Hunter cosmetics”.
On top of those, it appears the Super Deluxe Edition contains access to a further two story expansions. These shall add new Vault Hunters to play as alongside more missions and quests.
In a press release, founder and president Randy Pitchford said: “Borderlands 4 is the most excited the team and I have ever been to launch a Borderlands game. Borderlands 4 is the best entry point for new players while also being a heartfelt love letter to fans of the original games.”
Previously, Pitchford has publicly stated he didn’t know how much Borderlands 4 would cost, and implied anyone who’s a “real fan” would find a way to buy a game priced at $80. Now we know the game will be $10 cheaper for the base version, but Pitchford still apologised for his comments.
