Borderlands 4 Adds 3 New Weapon Manufacturers, Licensed Parts, and Ordnance Slot

Borderlands 4 sees the looter shooter franchise looking sleeker with more movement options, but it’s always been about the loot. This time, Gearbox is significantly changing the weapon system, starting with three new manufacturers: Order, Ripper, and Daedalus.
Order weapons offer burst damage with great precision, while Ripper guns are fully automatic but take a bit to charge. Daedalus supports multiple ammo types and is touted as “easy to use.” The real game-changer is the Licensed Parts system.
You can now discover guns with components from various manufacturers – the higher the quality, the more parts. Legendaries are also less common and will feel more like “special events.” Weapons can also have Enhancements, which replace Artifacts and offer additional benefits depending on the manufacturer.
Other additions include Ordnance, a new slot for grenades and heavy weapons. Instead of ammo, they have a cooldown, providing more opportunities to blow things up. Repkits provide healing but also grant buffs like increased attack speed and movement.
Borderlands 4 arrives on September 12th. A hands-on gameplay event is coming in June, so stay tuned for more updates.
