Clair Obscur Sells Over 3.3 Million Units in First 33 Days

Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive have announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
has achieved another major sales milestone after being on the market for just over thirty days. The action RPG previously managed to clear one million sales within the first three days after launch, and it was revealed today that the game has now made it past the 3.3 million mark, and that is, apparently, not even counting downloads through Xbox and PC Game Pass.

This isn’t the only achievement that’s being celebrated, however. Kepler Interactive has released a full list of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s successes, and it paints quite the impressive picture. - The game has sold more than 3.3 million units across all platforms, not including Game Pass downloads.
- Clair Obscur’s soundtrack can also be considered a success unto itself. It was streamed over 33 million times during the game’s first three weeks on the market, and it debuted at the top of Billboard’s classical album charts. As of today, the soundtrack has been streamed over ninety million times.
- The official music video for the main track, “Lumiere,” alone has gotten 2.8 million views on the Sandfall Interactive YouTube channel.
- Sandfall Interactive is a small studio of only around thirty people, with Clair Obscur being many members’ very first video game project.
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is another success for Kepler Interactive as a publisher, with some others including Sifu, Tchia and Bionic Bay.
Kepler Interactive also took note of the worldwide community that’s gathered around Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, taking care to mention all the fan-created works, such as fanart and musical covers.
Innovative gameplay and stories with heart are always a winning combination.
For those who haven’t played it yet and just haven’t really been keeping up with the news surrounding it, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has a lot going for it in both the gameplay and story departments. Its gameplay is primarily a mix of exploration and turn-based combat, with said combat requiring a bit of timing precision from players. As for its story, the mix of an intriguing setting, dark scenario and charismatic characters has little trouble keeping players engaged and wanting to see what happens next.
