Five Nights At Freddy’s has quickly become Dead By Daylight’s biggest chapter by breaking the game’s highest peak concurrent player count. Resident Evil was previously DBD’s record-breaking collaboration, but now it’s FNAF, and fans will be glad to hear more content is on the way. BeHaviour Interactive has confirmed more incoming FNAF goodies for Dead By Daylight, and they have also teased an iconic Five Nights At Freddy’s character as well as a second chapter.
Dead By Daylight dev teases more Five Nights At Freddy’s
The Dead By Daylight developers recently participated in a Q&A about the Five Nights At Freddy’s chapter on the FNAF Discord. Some of the answers were relayed onto X by FNAF4DBD as well as Dveet.
One of the questions regarded skins. The developers reportedly said that there is a Springtrap skin planned for October as well as a new Blighted. While the confirmation of a new Springtrap outfit is great, there is some confusion as to whether it means we are also getting an FNAF Blighted cosmetic, or if that’s completely separate.
Community manager, Eric Pope, said that his favorite Springtrap skin is “one you haven’t seen yet”. This is presumably the October cosmetic, and, while there are no clues, it could possibly be Burntrap from FNAF Security Breach.
Away from new skins, the developer also teased they haven’t forgotten about Foxy. If Foxy were to be added to Dead By Daylight, it would presumably be a Legendary skin for Springtrap.
In even more exciting news, BeHaviour Interactive teased the possibility of a second chapter. This would be a no-brainer as the Five Nights At Freddy’s fanbase is huge and the collaboration has already been a massive success. There are also endless possibilities for killers as there are so many iconic animatronics, even as new games continue to come out such as Jackie in Secret of the Mimic.
Onto more disappointing news, BeHaviour confirmed there are no plans for Charms. The developers were also down on the possibility of Springtrap joining 2v8 mode because of gameplay challenges. There could be licensing issues with 2v8, too, as previously talked about by DBD director, Mathieu Cote.
