There are a lot of chapters to look forward to for the remainder of 2025 for Dead By Daylight. These include the full release of FNAF in just a couple weeks and two licensed survivors in July theorised to possibly be from The Walking Dead. We then have an original killer in September stemming from Asian folklore, and then there’s two licensed survivors and a killer set for November. Rumors have suggested the November license could possibly be another collaboration with Capcom, and a Dead By Daylight dev’s response to rumors of a third Resident Evil chapter is potentially good or bad news depending on perspective.

Dead By Daylight dev responds to rumors of third Resident Evil chapter

Rumors of a third Resident Evil chapter in November for Dead By Daylight appeared on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, citing RuthlessLeaks. The rumor seems to stem from a voice discussion in which transcripts on Discord cite Ruthless as saying, “Resident Evil part 3” for November with “Jack as killer, Ethan Winters and his daughter [Rose] as survivors”. Ruthless further stated “obviously take it with a grain of salt but that’s what I was told”.

Ruthless has been right with leaks in the past such as The Houndmaster and stating Springtrap would have an axe, but they have also been wrong with stating Perfect Blue would be the horror-anime collaboration instead of Junji Ito, and they also stated plans for a Jurassic Park/World chapter.

With rumors of a third Resident Evil chapter circling, a DBD fan posted to BeHaviour Interactive community manager, Eric Pope, “Just tell me November chapter isn’t ANOTHER Resident Evil Chapter”. The community manager responded, “why would it be?”.

This response doesn’t confirm nor deny the possibility of Resident Evil part 3 for November, but it seemingly leans more towards it not happening. This is potentially good news if you didn’t want another Resident Evil episode, especially with Lady Dimitrescu not rumored to be the killer.

The November licensed chapter is interesting because it will officially have two survivors and one killer. This also feeds into the Resident Evil rumors as the first collaboration starred Leon and Ada against Nemesis, meanwhile, the second crossover starred Ada and Rebecca against Wesker.

There are no other rumors concerning the identity of the license for November. Fans have theorised Stranger Things because of Season 5 coming out in November, but other popular wants from the community include IT and Predator.
