Dead By Daylight has always been popular, and the fanbase has just been rewarded with the excellent FNAF Chapter. This Chapter is accompanied by big changes in update 9.0.0, as well as the release of BeHaviour’s official DBD Stats Tracker. It’s fantastic that the collaboration is finally here as it’s a crossover DBD fans have wanted for years, and the FNAF Chapter is so massive that it has quickly smashed Dead By Daylight’s record for biggest day ever.

Five Nights At Freddy’s Chapter smashes Dead By Daylight record

The Five Nights At Freddy’s Chapter came out in Dead By Daylight on June 17th. This resulted in a peak concurrent player-count of 106, 029 on Steam alone.

BeHaviour’s previous player count record was 105,093 in June 2021. This was for the first DBD x Resident Evil chapter that launched on June 15th. This included Leon and Jill Valentine as the Suvivors, Racoon City as a map, and Nemesis as the Killer.

Another notable high for the game was 96, 580 in June 2022. Surprisingly, this didn’t contain a licensed Chapter as it was the original episode, Roots of Dread, starring Haddie Kauer and The Dredge. Lastly, Dead By Daylight achieved a peak concurrent player count of 99, 859 in July 2024, and this was when BeHaviour released Lara Croft as a solo Survivor.

It’s impressive that Five Nights At Freddy’s has quickly become Dead By Daylight’s biggest ever Chapter. This isn’t too surprising as FNAF has a massive fanbase, but it’s still incredible that it was able to beat Resident Evil, especially with DBD nearly 10-years old now.

While the FNAF Chapter is huge, there’s plenty else for Dead By Daylight fans to anticipate. There’s the upcoming final Twisted Masquerade event to celebrate the game’s 9th anniversary, and, in July, we are getting two licensed survivors, possibly from The Walking Dead.
