Blizzard already confirmed that a new anniversary event would be coming for Diablo 4, but it may be a bit of disappointment. Now, the studio has confirmed exactly what players can expect from the new Diablo 4 Second Anniversary event, and players can nab a host of free goodies.
Diablo 4 Second Anniversary event confirmed
Starting today, the new Diablo 4 Second Anniversary event runs until Tuesday, 17th June. The two-week event adds a new Event Reliquary mini battle pass that is available to all players for free and not much more.
Players who are engaging in the event will be able to earn six rewards on the free Reliquary with a seventh available once you complete the pass. Other than that, there’s not much to do, especially compared to last year’s sizeable March of the Goblins event.
The new event currency is also just your standard gold, not requiring any fancy materials to earn any goodies during the event. While you still need gold for basic gameplay, this should be an easier-than-normal Reliquary to finish. You will be able to earn the following rewards:
- Sunflame Lantern Mount Trophy
- Burning Dawn Banner Mount Trophy
- Sunraiser Sword Cosmetic
- Sunflame Sword Two-Handed Sword Cosmetic
- Burning Barbs Polearm Cosmetic
- Burning Dawn Bow Cosmetic
Once all six rewards are earned and claimed, players will then be able to earn the Burning Dawn Mount Armour, a fancy new cosmetic for mounts that looks pretty damn nice. Take a look at the earn-able cosmetics below.

While this event is rather disappointing, at least we’re getting some free content for the Diablo 4 Second Anniversary. With Blizzard still working on polishing up Season 9 Sins of the Horadrim and the rest of the 2025 roadmap, there’s still a tonne of new content coming to the game.
Additionally, Blizzard is currently working on the next major expansion for the game, set to release sometime in 2026. Details on the new expansion are unknown, but it’s expected to include a new Holy class.
