EA says Battlefield reveal coming this summer
EA has not been shy about its plans for the next Battlefield game. The company announced development had begun over a year ago and in recent months, it has been holding public playtests as part of its new Battlefield Labs early access programme. Now, EA is confirming that the next Battlefield will release later this year.
EA CEO, Andrew Wilson, gave investors an update on its Battlefield launch plans as part of the company’s most recent earnings report. In his statements, he confirmed that announcements for the next Battlefield will begin this Summer and reaffirmed that the game will release during the current fiscal year.
While we will be waiting another month or two to get a proper reveal for the next Battlefield game, EA has recently begun expanding invites for Battlefield Labs and another playtest is due to take place this month.
With GTA 6 now pushed out of 2025, many publishers are beginning to solidify their plans. I expect that when Battlefield gets its full reveal in June, we’ll also get a Q4 release date.
