Prior to release, FromSoftware’s post-launch plans for Elden Ring Nightreign were confirmed to be adding more enemies, bosses and more to the game. In an upcoming update, the first major update will bring limited-time bosses to the multiplayer Soulsborne game.
Starting today, players will be able to fight powerful Everdark Sovereigns, newer versions of already-beaten bosses that offer a bigger challenge for players to overcome.
These new Everdark Sovereign bosses will only be available via a limited-time period within the game, starting with the now-available first boss, Gaping Jaw. This enhanced boss will be available to fight for a week, ending on June 26.
In the coming weeks, players will also be able to fight more powerful versions of Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight in their new Everdark version. There’s currently no scheduled date for either of these bosses.
In order to fight the new Everdark Sovereigns, players will have to first beat the base versions of these enemies. After beating the more powerful version of the bosses, players will be awarded with a Sovereign Sigil.
Elden Ring Nightreign launched with a number of issues, but it’s still a great alternative entry in FromSoftware’s history of Soulsborne titles. With more content coming to the game in the future, there should be even more opportunities to fight more powerful bosses, which should please the more masochistic fans of the series.
Alongside more powerful bosses and more content coming to Nightreign, FromSoft is also working on more new games to please fans. First and foremost, the studio is working on the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive PvPvE game The Duskbloods which will offer a brand-new type of gameplay experience for fans.
Additionally, FromSoft has confirmed that it will be working on more single-player games after its multiplayer kick that will please fans who aren’t interested in playing online PvP titles. However, the studio hasn’t explained when its next single-player game will be revealed or released.
