When Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade launches for the Nintendo Switch 2 – whenever that happens – it’ll finally bring the action RPG’s PlayStation console exclusivity to an end- and as many have expected, it seems that’s not where Square Enix’s plans for Nintendo’s upcoming next-gen console will end.

Nintendo recently uploaded a new video in its Creator’s Voice series, this time focused on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and featuring Naoki Hamaguchi, who directed both it and its sequel. During the video, Hamaguchi talks about the “Final Fantasy 7 Remake series’” coming to the Switch rather than just the first game, suggesting that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and the remake trilogy’s upcoming final instalment are all also planned for the Switch 2.

That would very much be in line with previous leaks and rumours as well. Earlier this year, reports claimed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth would also launch for the Switch 2 at some point in 2026, and that both Remake and Rebirth are also bound for Xbox Series X/S.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth are both available on PS5, PS4, and PC. Remake’s Switch 2 release date hasn’t yet been announced.
