Forza studio Turn 10 loses half of its developers
The scope of the layoffs at Xbox studios continues to astound. Following the closure of The Initiative and several game cancellations, it has come to light that Turn 10 has been forced to fire half of its staff.
Turn 10 is the studio behind the Forza Motorsport games. Despite these games often being highly reviewed and pillars of the Xbox library, Turn 10 was one of the studios hit the hardest by this week’s layoffs.
According to Jason Schreier, around half of the Turn 10 team has been let go as part of this week’s layoffs. Understandably, those left behind aren’t too pleased about the situation, with one source saying it is “unclear where things go from here”, especially in regards to an unannounced game in development.
The Forza Horizon team at Playground Games was not affected.
