Grand Theft Auto 6 is arguably the most anticipated game of all time. Unfortunately, it was just recently announced that the release date has been delayed to May 26th, 2026, with reports additionally revealing that Rockstar employees were never confident of a 2025 release at all. While the delay has disappointed fans, some good news is that Rockstar has just released GTA 6 trailer 2, presumably as a way to compensate for the recent bad news.
Rockstar releases GTA 6 trailer 2
GTA 6 trailer 2 is now available to watch on Rockstar Games’ YouTube channel. It clocks in at 2:46, and it reiterates the newly announced release date of May 26th, 2026. It comes with the following short description of the plot:
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
As you’d expect, the trailer looks amazing. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous, we see more of the stunning open-world landscape and scenery, and we get more of a glimpse at the dynamic between the two leading stars, Jason and Lucia, as the trailer focuses more on the main story rather than random events.
We absolutely cannot wait for this game to come out. It’s a shame it’s been delayed to 2026, but, judging by Rockstar’s history and the magnificence of the trailer, the final product will be well worth the wait.
