Heart Emote Location in Lies of P: Overture

Quick Links
Lies of P: Overture adds quite a variety of quests, items, and more. One of its more interesting additions are emotes that seem to explore the idea that P is learning a sense of whimsy and humor (or at least is learning to mimic such things). The Heart emote is one such example, where P learns the ability to make a giant heart with his arms from a dainty puppet doll.

With these tips, any fresh Nightfarer in Elden Ring Nightreign can have a better idea of how to handle this deadly expedition.
This guide discusses the steps you need to take to acquire this emote and some places you can use it to get unique interactions.
It Starts At the Carnival
After defeating Markionna and exiting the Krat Zoo portion of Overture, you will soon come upon a carnival. Sitting on some boxes near the first Stargazer in this area should be a sad doll-like puppet named Rosaura. Rosaura wishes to journey to the Rose Estate but cannot, as she has lost her shoes. In order to eventually get the Heart emote, you must first help her find them.

These games hand over the controls and let players loose in a sandbox, with fun, freedom and chaos coming before the actual story.
For reasons not fully explained, her shoes can be found in a chest deeper into the carnival. The shoes can be obtained by reaching the carousel, which you must enter from a hole in its top. To reach that hole, you must get into an open cart on the Ferris wheel and drop down onto a walkway as the cart rises, which leads to the carousel’s roof. It’s likely that many players will find the shoes just progressing through the DLC’s primary path, as you will need to reach the walkway that drops into the carousel as part of finding the Zoo Tram Station Key (which is essential to progress).
Giving Rosaura her shoes will result in her gratitude, some minor rewards, and progressing her quest. You won’t need to help her again until you near the end of the portion of the DLC that involves exploring an abandoned ergo mine.
A Second Meeting
As you progress through Overture, you will eventually find Rosaura again, sitting near the Pistris Harbor Stargazer (this particular Stargazer is near the end of the mine portion of the DLC). She has seemingly drained her reserves of energy and now requires Ergo to continue. Speaking to her should give you the option to Give Ergo, which will open a list of the various types of Ergo Chunks you have in your inventory that you can give.
It seems almost all options produce a similar result (although the exact dialogue can differ slightly), empowering her to continue and causing her to give you “Rosaura’s Treasure: Ruins Secret Gathering Invitation” and “Rosaura’s Treasure: Second Piece of a Drawing.” Additionally, she’ll give you the Heart emote.
In testing, an Ergo Crystal of the Eternal (the most potent “standard” type of Ergo Crystal) was given to her, which resulted in P gaining Humanity (identical to what is usually gained by lying or otherwise acting in a non-puppet fashion). Some sources claim weaker crystals don’t give this Humanity boost (which is helpful, but not essential to max out your Humanity by the end of the game).
Unique Interactions
For the most part, the Heart emote is just a fun, strange reward for helping Rosaura along her journey. It has little practical use on P’s adventures. However, it can be used in a couple of places for special interactions.
The most practical interaction occurs when using the Heart emote in front of the Broken Puppet in the Barren Swamp. None of the emotes added in Lies of P: Overture are required to complete the Broken Puppet’s quest, a piece of base game content, but each can be used to get an item from the puppet. The Heart emote will grant you a Miraculous Recovery Ampoule. This is a decently powerful consumable that you likely have already acquired before this point, but they’re admittedly relatively rare and are fairly expensive when buying them from the DLC merchants.
A few NPCs will also react to the emote, although they don’t give you any reward. Rosaura will happily laugh and give some brief dialogue, at least in the area she first gives you the emote. Meanwhile, Eugénie will react to the emote with an awkward wave. Additionally, Sophia will give a gentle bow if you perform the emote in front of her, although this interaction reportedly only occurs if you emote before Hotel Krat is attacked in the main story, which would specifically make this an NG+ interaction.
