Helldivers 2 dev confirms issues “being looked into” but don’t expect a new patch soon

Right now, Arrowhead has just released a new free reward for Helldivers 2 players to claim, and in just over a month the studio will be recruiting players from Xbox consoles. Between now and the game’s release on Microsoft’s platform, all HD2 soldiers can do is simply wait and complete Major Orders. There are complaints Super Earth soldiers have that Arrowhead are investigating, but the developer has confirmed there will not be a new Helldivers 2 update for at least a couple of weeks.
Helldiver 2 dev confirms no new update coming soon
On Arrowhead’s official X account, the developer has confirmed that the studio is taking a break for “2 weeks” as part of “Swedish Summer Protocol”. In regard to whether the whole studio is on holiday, on Discord, community manager, Baskinator, said, “There are still people working… But for two weeks the majority of the team is out”.
Regarding whether we can expect any new updates during the break, fellow community manager, Miitchimus, confirmed there will be “no patch during the break unfortunately”.
Recently, Arrowhead have updated their known issues webpage with the following:
- PLAS-45 Epoch has incorrect spread values.
- Using the LIFT-182 Warp Pack in the FRV causes player to be desynced
- LIFT-182 Warp Pack’s black hole can sometimes be seen while ADS in first person
- Extracting whilst the Adreno-Defibrillator armour passive is active causes audio issues
The PLAS-45 Epoch seems to be one of the biggest complaints amongst the HD2 community right now. Players feel it is by far the worst weapon from the recently released Control Group Warbond, and Arrowhead has admitted that its sliders are “too much,” alluding to the likelihood of a buff. Miitchimus has also confirmed that the Epoch is “being looked into”.
Unfortunately, there’s no ETA for when the next update will come out aside from not within the next two weeks. Therefore, it’s possible the next patch could drop the week of August 4th, or we could be waiting until the next Warbond which is expected the week of August 25th.
Judging by Arrowhead’s typical six weeks schedule, the next Warbond is expected August 28th. Patches typically come out a couple of days before the Warbond, but what makes this Warbond so interesting is the possibility of it coinciding with the Xbox release. This suggests the next bundle will likely be Arrowhead’s biggest yet.
