Infinitesimals hands-on preview — Fast-paced combat and amazingly-fluid movements for just 8mm tall

Sometimes, the universe simply guides us in the direction we’re supposed to go. During Summer Game Fest, I didn’t have an appointment with Epic Game and their game Infinitesimals from developers, Cubit Studios. I was on a waitlist and, as I passed the corner on Day 2, I got the call that someone cancelled and I ran for the chance to see this game that interested me during the main Summer Game Fest presentation.

I walked into the presentation room to see they had decorated it to look like we were in grass all around with some great artwork above it showing the sky making me feel like I was also miniature. The set-dressing set the mood quickly for the tone of the game – you’re in a familiar, yet unfamiliar terrain: Earth. I sat down with James McWilliams – Founder of Cubit Studios and Game Director for Infinitesimals – and Mickaël Fourgeaud – Co-Founder of Cubit Studios and Lead Developer for Infinitesimals. James gave me a quick rundown and off we went.
