Inno3D Upgrades Its RTX 50 Liquid-Cooled Lineup With RTX 5090 & RTX 5080 iChill Frostbite Pro Variants, Single-Slot Designs

Inno3D’s iChill Frostbite Pro Liquid-Cooled Variants Come In Single-Slot Designs For GeForce RTX 5090 & RTX 5080 GPUs
Currently, the Inno3D iChill Frostbite series for the GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 comes in dual-slot configurations. These cooling solutions are designed by Alphacool and allow custom-loop users to take full advantage of their water-cooling equipment, but on popular request from enthusiasts, it looks like Inno3D is now expanding with new variants under the iChill Frostbite Pro series.
Just like the previous design, the new Inno3D iChill Frostbite Pro series will feature both GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 variants, but there are a few new changes. Firstly, the company is now going to leverage a non-acrylic waterblock made by Alphacool, and these will come in a single-slot flavor. This opens up the room for up to four GPUs to be installed within a custom-loop setup, and that’s great for users who want to go the AI/Workstation route without compromising on graphics compute performance.
The front of the waterblock comes with a carbon fiber texture, and the connectors are now placed on the back of the card rather than on the sides. Both cards retain the custom PCB solution with 4 display outputs and look very compact. There’s also a custom backplate to keep the components on the flip side cool. Talking with Inno3D, we were told that the iChill Frostbite Pro series will come with slightly higher clock speeds for both RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs, and the prices will be a bit higher than the standard Frostbite GPU family.
Since we mentioned Alphacool, it should also be reported that the waterblock maker also showcased several of its existing and upcoming coolers, such as Apex, Core, and ES. The same cooler used by the iChill Frostbite Pro was also showcased by them.
Inno3D is still working on refining the waterblock implementation, so the MSRP and availability date are yet to be disclosed, but we will surely keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
