John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Images and Details Leak – Classes, Vehicles, and More Revealed

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando

It’s been a while since we heard about John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, a co-op shooter developed by Saber Interactive for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Focus Entertainment said that it would launch sometime in 2025, and that may still be the case based on a recent closed beta leak.

Though posted and deleted from the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, the images remain available. Instead of players simply going from one point to another, missions now take place in areas with various points of interest. You can take on challenges and events or pursue the main mission.

Vehicles are also much more significant, including a truck, which can carry a flamethrower turret. You can repair some for use, and there’s even a mini-game for repairing a generator. The skill tree for the Medic class is also showcased, with Striker, Operator and Defender making up the others. It seems that classes cap out at level 40, with various skills unlocking after reaching specific levels.

The deleted post also stated (via Insider-Gaming) that there’s a base for customizing your loadout, testing weapons and upgrading gear before missions. You can level up multiple playable characters and even choose different difficulties for replay value.

When its release date will be announced remains to be seen. Possibly at Gamescom in August? Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
