Lepro TB1 Smart Table Lamp review — Lepro continues to impress with their smart LED table lamps

Lepro is back with another high-quality lighting product, the Lepro TB1 Smart Table Lamp, which features a simple and easily customizable design, smart use of AI features, and a fantastic app which allows you to customize your home lighting in millions of ways, only hindered by your creativity. With the TB1, Lepro once again shows why they remain a top contender in the crowded lighting field.

This is not my first experience with Lepro products. Previously I reviewed the Lepro TB2 AI Smart LED Table Light, which left me thoroughly impressed and is still a standout piece in the music nook of my house. Everything I stated in that review, including all the praise, applies to the TB1 as well, as the TB1 is essentially the same light, with only the design changed. But that’s not a knock on the light, in fact, that design change is precisely what makes the TB1 become even more versatile than the TB2. Unlike the static design of the TB2, the TB1 features three distinct LED rings, two of which rotate freely, allowing for a variety of designs which can be changed on a whim to suit your mood.

Let’s dive into what’s packed into this small, but versatile lamp. The lamp utilizes an RGB+IC chip which is able to individually address the 196 LED lights located inside the lamp rings, allowing for seamless transitions and a nearly endless stream of unique effects and color schemes. Also built in is Lepro’s LightGPM 2.0, a large language model AI trained on color psychology and light design, which is used to create unique light patterns based on your current mood or activity, which can be conveyed to the light via the app by either utilizing the built-in voice control or typing. For those who prefer a more hands-on approach, you also have the ability to create your own lighting patterns without the use of AI and then to save these patterns for future use.

All these features would be pointless if Lepro’s app didn’t work as intended. Thankfully, that’s where Lepro is leaps and bounds above many of their competitors. Simply put, Lepro’s app just works; no connection issues, no lag. Everything from the seamless setup to combing through the millions of available light patterns and saving your favorites is instantaneous and near flawless. Simply assemble your light, download and open the app, connect to Wi-Fi, and then the app will immediately find your new device on its own. Now just connect, name your device, and you’re done! The whole process takes less than a minute. You can control all Lepro products in your house from this one intuitive app, utilizing Wi-Fi to allow you to alter the lights even if you’re not nearby. To use the AI, simply press the mic button and state your mood or activity and the AI will instantaneously generate 10 patterns for you to check out, ranging from smooth color transitions to strobe effects, and everything in between, and if you aren’t happy with the selection, simply ask again for more choices.
