Manjaro KDE Plasma plans move to Wayland by default

Ubuntu isn’t the only Linux distribution planning a big change, as Manjaro KDE Plasma also now plans to move to Wayland.

In a forum post from Manjaro’s KDE head Artem Grinev titled “Manjaro KDE Plasma is planned to move to Wayland”, they said “I was using Wayland for quite a while and things are more or less smooth (NVIDIA proprietary driver). I think it’s time for Manjaro to move to Wayland by default for both Plasma session and SDDM.”.

It’s a short and to the point post, with a small FAQ and some voting options for Manjaro forum members to note how their current Wayland experience is.

Hopefully when the move is done it goes smoothly.
