Marvel Rivals finally fixes neglected hero with major buff

The upcoming Marvel Rivals update will bring some much-needed balance changes. When Season 3 launches, NetEase will release changes for more than one-third of the hero roster, significantly shifting the meta. Due to this, we expect less popular heroes to thrive in the new season, while the top performers of Season 2.5 may no longer be as significant.

Earlier this week, NetEase revealed all the buffs and nerfs coming with Marvel Rivals Season 3. These Notably, one of the heroes benefiting from a buff is Winter Soldier, whose win rate has been abysmal lately.

Winter Soldier is getting a buff with the next Marvel Rivals update

Bucky used to be a menace in Season 1, achieving a nearly 50% win rate in Competitive and ranking a the seventh-best Duelist overall. In Season 2.5, after several nerfs, Winter Soldier is at a 46.44% win rate, the fifth-lowest among all Duelists and ninth-lowest among all heroes.

With the release of Marvel Rivals Season 3, the hero will receive a damage buff. More specifically, Bucky will be more danagerous from long range, as the Roterstern damage falloff was increased from 60% to 70%.

Right now, the maximum damage Bucky can do from 40 meters is 45 for a body shot and 90 for a headshot. However, these values will increase to 52.5 and 105 respectively, allowing the hero to take targets down more effectively.

This adjustment should make Winter Soldier far more viable in Season 3, and his popularity is likely to increase. In Season 1, he was the most-picked Duelist by a wide margin. Could he return to his former glory? With just one week to go before the new season, we’ll find out soon.
