Marvel Rivals has been out for more than half a year and is currently in its third season. NetEase has done a fantastic job with the game, attracting millions of players in a short time. Throughout this period, the game developer released lots of fresh content, including seven new heroes. However, this created a problem that many players would like to be fixed.

At the moment, Marvel Rivals has 40 heroes in its impressive lineup. In August, NetEase will release Blade, who will be the 22nd Duelist and the 41st hero in total. Releasing so many heroes will make the character selection wheel quite obsolete, which is why players want it removed.

The hero selection wheel is becoming useless in Marvel Rivals

Back when Marvel Rivals just came out, it had 33 heroes. Seven months later, the roster size is 40 and will only keep getting bigger. Earlier this year, NetEase promised to release a new hero every month and a half. Later on, this was changed to one hero per month, which is why Blade will come out only four weeks after Phoenix.

Reddit user imjokeslol posted an interesting topic, suggesting the removal of the hero selection wheel. Many other players agreed with them, calling the wheel a nightmare and pointing out how cluttered it is. Some pointed an issue with hero bans, as they have a limited time to scroll through all the characters and choose who to ban.

While the design of the hero selection wheel in Marvel Rivals is modern and unique, it may be time to remove it. With Season 3.5 coming out on August 8, there is a chance that NetEase will make this much-needed UI change.

At the end of the day, the game creator will have to do something about it, sooner or later, and changing it with the next season would undoubtedly be the right move.
