Narrative retro FPS DERELIKT looks awesome with inspiration from Alien Resurrection and System Shock

I absolutely need this. DERELIKT from developer Visuwyg releases in 2026 and it’s everything I wanted in a retro styled FPS.

A narrative retro FPS inspired by Alien Resurrection, Doom 3 and System Shock 2, with a dash of lovecraftian cosmic horror. What’s not to love about that? With the slick PS1 style with full motion CGI cut-scenes, this could have fit right in with the classics. Looks like it would have scared the pants off of me back then.

More about it: “Explore the dark hallways of Von Neuman Outpost, an expansive research station grafted onto an anomalous derelict asteroid in orbit around Saturn. Meet over a dozen unique NPCs, manage your inventory, solve oldschool puzzles and fight against eldritch abominations!”

Check out the trailer:

That trailer has me insanely excited for this one. Could be an instant classic right there.

Highlights (from the Steam page):

  • Arguably the most faithful and beautiful recreation of PS1 aesthetics on the market.
  • Over a dozen NPCs to meet and talk to in a robust dialogue system.
  • An array of classic and outlandish weapons.
  • Oldschool puzzles in the style of classics like Silent Hill or Resident Evil.
  • Unique glyph upgrade system.
  • 12 levels in and around a dark space outpost with subtle “Metroidvania” progression.
