After The Walking Dead comes out on July 29th, the next Dead By Daylight Chapter will be an original based on Asian folklore in September. Then, for November, we are set to get another licensed episode starring two survivors and one killer. Rumors previously pointed to a third iteration of Resident Evil, but this was seemingly played down by BeHaviour’s community manager. While there are no leaks as of writing, the next Dead By Daylight collaboration would be BeHaviour’s strangest yet if a possible tease is to be believed.
Next Dead By Daylight licensed chapter possibly teased
The next Dead By Daylight licensed Chapter is set to come out in November. Although there are no leaks, DBD fans believe Danganronpa is a possibility. This is because the English voice actor for Monokuma, Brian Beacock, posted the cryptic tease “11.25.2025” with a gif of Monokuma on X before seemingly removing the tweet.
This cryptic tease seems to hint at a big announcement for the Danganronpa series. As for what this announcement is, there’s no hint other than the date. November 25th will be the series’ 15th anniversary as the first game came out on November 25th, 2010, so it should be a big day for fans of the killer bear.
There has been rumors in the past of a remake for Triger Happy Havoc, the first installment in the Danganropa series, and that would be an announcement befitting of the game’s 15th anniversary. However, because the announcement is falling in November, some Dead By Daylight fans have theorised Monokuma is stepping into the Fog.
While the Danganropa series has a huge and passionate fanbase, it would arguably be BeHaviour’s strangest collaboration yet. There is always the possibility a Chapter could happen, but the odds appear slim on paper.
For one, a November 25th announcement seems too late for Dead By Daylight as there will presumably be a PTB either in late-October or early-November before the Chapter fully releases. In addition, with two survivors and one killer, it’s expected the Chapter will be a more conventional and mainstream crossover.
A second chapter for Stranger Things seems plausible as Season 5 is set for November 26th. In addition, the first Stranger Things crossover for DBD had two Survivors in Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington, along with the Demogorgon as a Killer.
The other likelihood is a third iteration of Resident Evil. Yes, rumors of a third chapter were seemingly poo-pooed, but it would make sense as Resident Evil has been Dead By Daylight’s biggest Chapter outside of Five Nights At Freddy’s. In addition, there’s still a boatload of potential survivors and killers such as the highly-requested Lady Dimitrescu.
Ultimately, we have to wait for BeHaviour to announce the November license. There’s more potential candidates than just Stranger Things, Resident Evil, and Danganronpa, so there is a lot of hype.
