NVIDIA drivers 575.64 and 570.169 released for Linux

NVIDIA have today released two new stable GPU drivers for Linux systems, here’s what’s changed in each version.

The first is the 570.169 driver, part of their “Recommended/Certified” branch which is slower to update and add in new features. It’s what goes through their full quality testing. This includes two fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that could cause a kernel use-after-free on pre-Turing GPUs.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause 32-bit x86 applications running on recent builds of glibc to crash on dlopen().

And then the 575.64 driver, part of their New Feature Branch branch giving you new features earlier. Which includes three fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that could cause blank rendering on some single-buffered GLX applications when running on Xwayland.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause a kernel use-after-free on pre-Turing GPUs.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause 32-bit x86 applications running on recent builds of glibc to crash on dlopen().

Neither are tagged as a Beta driver, so you should be good to update your systems.
