Popular stress-testing app OCCT is coming to Steam and includes a special build for Steam Deck
OCCT recently released a supported Native Linux version of their popular fully featured stress-testing application, and now they’ve announced it’s coming to Steam as part of a wider expansion.
Not only that, but they’ve announced the Steam release will also come with a “portable handheld edition of OCCT that runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck”. Their Native Linux build was already compatible but this was optimized to give the best experience on Steam Deck now too.
When it releases on Steam it will be free but also have an “optional non-recurrent purchase, priced the same as on Patreon”.
Some of the tools it has available:
- Processor (CPU) – Evaluate your CPU’s stability and performance with various test modes.
- Graphics Card (GPU) – Push your GPU to its limits with DirectX and CUDA-specific stress tests.
- Memory (RAM) – Detect potential errors by putting your RAM under heavy load.
- Power Supply (PSU) – Simulate extreme power consumption to assess PSU reliability.
