Philips Hue is great, but it only allows for a single, continuous lightstrip run. Litcessory products allow for several! This extension cable, specifically designed for the Philips Hue Lightstrip system, enables you to create a break in between your LED lightstrips instead of having only one continuous lightstrip. The possibilities are endless! You can run lights under cabinets with a break over the sink, create sharply defined lighting on a series of shelves, or even connect lightstrips across an entire room. Our cables are flexible and flat, which makes them inconspicuous – perfect for designing your ideal lighting setup!

NOTE: If you want to connect this product directly to the Philips Lightstrip Plus Controller, you MUST use the Litcessory “Controller to 6-Pin Adapter” to do so. If you want to connect to a cut lightstrip, you must use one of our 6-pin to Cut-End products. Please see our product line chart below for more info.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Will Litcessory products cause my lightstrip to be dimmer?

No, Litcessory products do not affect the brightness of the lights, as long as your total lightstrip run length (lightstrips plus any Litcessory product length) stays within 10 meters/33 feet, your lights will be just as bright!

2. What is reverse polarity, and how do I fix it?

Reverse polarity happens when you plug in the wrong side of a 6-pin connector. The flow of electricity gets reversed, and the lightstrip won’t turn on. This is a common occurrence when setting up your project and it is easily fixed.

3. Is the total recommended length of the lightstrip (10 meters/33 feet) affected by the extension cable and/or an ethernet cable? Is it 10 meters/33 feet plus the length of the ethernet cable?

We recommend keeping your total lightstrip run under 10 meters/33 feet. This includes the total length of your lightstrips and any Litcessory products and ethernet cables. Some customers have reported success going over this limit, however we have not tested this.

4. I have a cut lightstrip and I need to add a Litcessory extension cable. How do I connect this?

To connect two cut lightstrips together with a Litcessory Extension Cable you will need our Cut-End to 6-Pin Connector.

5. How do I extend the distance between the controller and the lightstrip? To extend the distance between the controller and the lightstrip,you will first need to connect one of our controller to 6-pin adapters. Then you can plug in an extension cable.

6. Do Litcessory extension cables have LED lights on them? No, Litcessory products do not have any LED lights.

7. Can I plug an extension cable into a Cut-End to Cut-End Connector? No, to connect an extension cable to a cut lightstrip, you will need to use our 6-Pin to Cut-End Connector. Remember our rule of thumb: Cut lightstrips connect only to cut-end connectors. 6-pin connectors only connect to other 6-pin connectors. Cut-end connectors cannot connect to 6-pin connectors.

8. Can I cut a Litcessory Extension Cable to a custom length?

No, Litcessory offers several lengths to choose from. Consider using an RJ45 Ethernet Cable Adapter to use a self-provided custom Ethernet cable for a custom length extension cable.

Select the Correct Version: Philips makes two lightstrip versions: Standard 6-Pin V3 which has larger pins (compatible with the WiZ and Hue v3 lightstrip) and Micro 6-Pin V4 which has smaller pins (compatible with the Solo and Hue v4 Lightstrip).
