PS Plus Multiplayer Game Being Delisted, Dev Gives Servers Update

Evil Dead: The Game was added as a PlayStation Plus game back in February 2023, bringing its unique take on the popular asymmetric multiplayer genre. Based on the cult-classic horror franchise of the same name, it allows players to play as Ash Williams or other characters from the series and fight demons. Unfortunately, developer Saber Interactive is in the process of delisting it from all digital storefronts, including the PlayStation Store.
Can purchasers still play Evil Dead: The Game?
Saber Interactive issued a statement regarding Evil Dead: The Game’s delisting. The company did not give a specific reason for the decision to take it off digital storefronts. However, they did confirm that players who purchased the game can still play the game. They also thank the community for their support.
“We can confirm we’ve begun the process of removing the game from digital storefronts. Anyone who has purchased the game will still be able to play it as we plan to keep our servers online for everyone.”
“We want to extend a sincere thank you to our community, to those who have been part of the game from the very beginning, and those who have recently joined us. We appreciate all of your support.”
Reports of the Evil Dead: The Game delisting began recently as players spotted its removal from the PS Store without warning. It is also unavailable on Steam and the Epic Games Store. As of this writing, it is still available on the Microsoft Store, and it’s being sold at a pretty steep discount.
Evil Dead: The Game was originally released in 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Reviews for the survival horror game were pretty mixed when it launched. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 72 across 41 critic reviews.
